The Fourth Phase Premieres for Free Globally on Sunday October 2nd
I always have loved the start of Fall. Football is back on, the weather gets cooler (well, not so much lately), and we begin to eagerly anticipate the arrival of winter and snowboard season!
Earlier this month, Marion and I attended the Los Angeles Premiere of Redbull’s new movie “The Fourth Phase,” the latest film from Travis Rice, Brain Farm, and Red Bull Media House. We absolutely loved “The Art of Flight” (their previous snowboard movie) when it came out several years ago so seeing their latest film on the big screen was a real treat. I used to go to snowboard movie premieres all the time back in the day when I was on my college snowboard team and worked as an Editor for a snowboard magazine. It was always a sign that winter was coming – and I don’t mean in the Game of Thrones style!
“The Fourth Phase” follows professional snowboarder Travis Rice as he travels the world following the storms that fuel winter. It was pretty incredible. I could really tell a difference in how much cinematography has changed in just the few short years since “The Art of Flight” was released. The professional snowboarders in the film (including Travis) were wearing Go Pros for some of the scenes and there was some incredible GoPro and drone footage. Let me just say that there is one scene where Travis is going down this insanely steep drop and you get the first hand perspective. I was nervous just watching it! It was so much fun to watch the snowboard movie in a theatre and hear everyone hollering and clapping during moments like this.

This Sunday, October 2nd, “The Fourth Phase” will premiere globally on Red Bull TV at 9pm. This is a globalpremiere that happens at 9pm locally around the world which is pretty cool. It will air for free before it goes on sale on October 3rd. You can watch it here on Red Bull TV.
It was Marion’s first time going to a snowboard movie premiere and he loved how into it everyone was! He learned to snowboard back in 2009 when we first met so it was a pretty fun event for us. We plan on tuning in on Sunday at 9pm. Join me by live tweeting along with me at @LTsurf!
What about you? Have you ever been to a snowboard movie premiere? Are you excited for “The Fourth Phase”? Post in the comments and let me know.
