Recipe: Paleo Sweet Potato Fries

paleo baked sweet potato fries recipe

This is an easy and simple to make recipe for paleo sweet potato fries. One of my favorite paleo meals is a turkey burger or beef burger wrapped in lettuce along with these yummy baked sweet potato fries. They’re so easy they almost don’t even need a recipe but since Thanksgiving is coming up and sweet potatoes are in high demand I decided its a good time to post this gem of a simple paleo recipe.

Here’s What You Will Need:

  • 1-2 Sweet Potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
  • Sea Salt and Pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Peel the sweet potatoes using a vegetable peeler. From there, use a good vegetable knife to cut the sweet potatoes lengthwise into fries. Cut them however you like. I usually make mine short and fat sweet potato fries style because my cutting skills are not great!

Next, melt the coconut oil. You have to work quickly because the coconut oil hardens quickly. Melt and toss your paleo sweet potato fries in the coconut oil and then sprinkle with sea salt and pepper. Put your fries on a cookie sheet. If they are nice and coated with coconut oil you shouldn’t have to coat the pan.

Place your sweet potato fries in the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes. Use a tong or other utensil to rotate the paleo sweet potato fries once about halfway through. They may need to stay in the oven a bit longer but keep a close eye on them because they will overcook and burnt paleo sweet potato fries are not as good.

If you have some leftover sweet potatoes from Thanksgiving or craving fries, I highly recommend trying out these paleo sweet potato fries!

What about you? Have you ever made sweet potato fries? How do you like to make them? Post in the comments and let me know!

Yum! I like to slice up a sweet potato, spray with cooking spray (I know, probably toxic!), and then sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper. I then broil the slices until crispy.
