Win A Month’s Supply of Healthy Entrees from Luvo
Back in March I had the awesome opportunity to be part of the WeBlog Editorial Board for Expo West – one of the biggest natural products trade shows. It was completely overwhelming but also a lot of fun. One of my favorite parts of the show was being introduced to new brands I had never heard of before like Luvo. Luvo hosted the WeBlog Editorial lunch and I was really impressed by their company, culture, and of course- their food! They are bringing healthy meals into airports and have struck a deal with Delta airlines to serve healthy snacks in-flight. So cool. Here’s a little clip we made from that event:
I really enjoyed meeting Luvo Head Chef John Mitchell. He showed us how Luvo frozen meals come in a paper bag (not a tray) that steams in the microwave. When it’s done you cut open the bag with a scissors and put on your plate. It even comes out perfectly plated. As you can see by my comment in the video, I was very excited about this! One amazing thing Luvo did for all of us bloggers was offer us 6 free months worth of entrees. Yes, you read that right…6 free months! So cool. At the time I was bummed I couldn’t use the coupons because we literally had ZERO space in our home freezer. But the good news is the coupons were redeemable anytime and that was soon to change!
My husband and I recently moved into our new home and what did I do before we even moved in? We stocked our new freezer full of Luvo meals! We used the store locator on Luvo’s website to find out where Luvo is available in our area and found that they carry Luvo at Ralphs, Whole Foods and many other well known stores. We got a couple different entrees: Orange Mango Chicken, Chili Chicken Verde, and Whole Grain Pilaf. The only Luvo entree that is currently gluten-free is the Chili Chicken Verde so we primarily got those. But my husband was happy to fill up on some non gluten-free options like the Orange Mango Chicken and Whole Grain Pilaf in our house. It’s a treat for him because I don’t ever cook anything thats not gluten-free.
We’ve been eating the Luvo frozen meals for lunch and sometimes dinner for a couple weeks now. The Chili Chicken Verde is yummy and I love the polenta in it. Although I do have to say it’s been hard only being able to eat the one entree and I hope they come out with more gluten free versions soon. Overall we’re very happy with our newly stocked freezer and now I want to give you the opportunity to stock your freezer with Luvo.
