Fairytale Baby Book and the Story of Baby Strong
Baby Strong recently turned a year old and I am just now getting to creating custom keepsake items for her. One thing my older daughter (Awesome Toddler) loves is reading personalized books with her name in it. Fairytale Baby Books is a company that creates personalized stories about how the child came into the world. When I learned about them, I thought it was a great idea and a unique opportunity to create a fun, memorable item about the story of Baby Strong’s birth.
I went online to FairytaleBabyBooks.com and filled out some personal information for the book. Here are some of the questions they asked:
- Our first and last names
- Name of the city and state we were living in when we found out we were going to have a baby
- Name and gender of any siblings at the time
- Did I (the mother-to-be) crave or dislike any foods
- If the baby’s sex was known prior to birth
- Hospital name
- Day, date, time of birth
- Baby’s birth weight and length
- Names and relationships of those who came to see the baby
Additionally, we had the option to write a custom message to Baby Strong in the back as well as upload a photo. We picked one from the day she was born.
Once the order was confirmed, I received an email from Cheri, the Founder of Fairytale Baby Books. She let me know the book proof would be ready for review in 5 business days. I thought it was really neat how she wrote me directly. As an entrepreneur myself, I really loved that entrepreneurial touch.
When we received the book in the mail it was really fun to read it to the girls. Of course big sister was super into it. I think I need to get her a Fairytale Baby Book of her own. She was so engaged and loved looking through the beautiful illustrations. The copy is written in Old English font (which I don’t think she has ever seen before) so that was neat, too.
I really enjoyed the process of creating this book and getting a custom, memorable keepsake for Baby Strong. I am definitely going to make one for Awesome Toddler and hope these books are something the girls will cherish as they get older.
What about you? Do you create custom keepsake items for your children? Do you have a personalized story for them? Post in the comments and let me know.
