I feel like my life is full of extremes. I love to workout and I’m finally back to exercising on a regular basis. It feels amazing. On the other hand, however, I sit at a desk for 9+ hours a day. It can’t be healthy. In fact, I know it’s not because I can tell the way my body feels when I’ve been sitting at a desk all day. Plus ever since I had Baby Awesome my tailbone hurts when I sit too long. It pretty much forces me out of my chair every 30 minutes which isn’t that bad.
I was really happy when I was introduced to Backjoy’s SitSmart Relief product. It’s this little piece you sit on and it helps you sit more comfortably in your chair. I’ve been using mine for several days now and I’m amazed at what a difference I feel with it – especially in my tailbone. The comfort it provides is really nice.
Backjoy is encouraging people to take better care of their back to live a healthier, happier life. I know I slouch way too much and my posture is not good, so this is a mission I can really get behind. For the entire month of June they set up a 10-Day Office Wellness Challenge to help provide you with healthy tips for your office. You can sign up here:
I’m all about creating a healthy environment in your office and plan to look at more ways I can relieve the pain of being a desk monkey. Here are some great articles from BackJoy on the subject:

I’m really glad to see companies like Backjoy creating products that help people feel better and also creating helpful content that can improve their health and wellness. I am going to continue to use my SitSmart relief at work and may even need to buy one for my car as well. We’ll see!
What about you? What do you do to relieve back pain? How do you combat sitting at a desk all day? Post in the comments and let us know.
I may give this a shot! I have a great attachment on my chair at work but ever since I had an accident a few years ago, I get these excruciating flare ups of pain in my tailbone and sciatic nerve. This sounds like something that could be perfect for that.
You should! I’ve really noticed a difference when I use.
