Are You A Health Plan Pro?
It’s almost that time of year again. Nope, I’m not talking about Halloween or the upcoming presidential election. I’m talking about open enrollment for your health care plan.
Open enrollment is the period of time where you can renew or make changes to your health care plan. It typically starts November 1st and runs through the end of January. If you work in a corporate environment, you’ve probably received emails already from your HR folks letting you know about it. I know learning about the health care opportunities available to you may not be the sexiest of topics, but it is important. Don’t ignore it. My husband and I did one year and it happened to be the year I got pregnant. We should have changed our plan knowing we would have more medical expenses that year and we didn’t. It was a bummer. Don’t let this happen to you!
Health care companies are helping educate people about the health care options available to them. United Healthcare has come up with a series of quizzes and interactive games on their website to help make it easier to learn about the options available to you. Just take a look at their new, beautiful site. Love it!
The first series is called “Are You A Health Care Pro?” I took the series and got a 5 out of 5 stars. I was happy about it.

The Giveaway
Now it’s time for my favorite part of the United Healthcare quizzes and interactive tools – the giveaway! There are several steps in the “Are You A Health Care Pro?” interactive tool. Answer them all and each section you complete will enter you for a chance to win a $500 gift card. In addition to this, Fit & Awesome readers have one extra chance to win a $100 gift card. The holidays are coming, and I feel like an Amazon gift card is a great prize that people always get excited about. Follow the questions in the widget below for your chance to win. There will be TWO winners chosen total – one on October 31st and another on November 30th. Good luck and enjoy!
Total fail on the quiz. Oh man. Thanks for pointing me towards this as we need to chance some things up on open enrollment. Woo hoo!
