My Video Interview with Chef Claire Robinson
I recently had the opportunity to do my first video interview here on Fit & Awesome! I interviewed Chef Claire Robinson, the host of a cooking show called 5 Ingredient Fix on the Food Network. I’m all about cooking with the least number of ingredients and keeping food healthy, so this sounded like the perfect opportunity for me!
I was able to ask Claire anything I wanted, so of course I focused on asking her about the gluten free and paleo diets and what tips she has for people who follow a gluten free diet. Check out the video below and see what she had to say (note: pardon my voice in this interview, I am currently battling a cold):
As you can see from the interview above, Claire recommends checking out cassava flour (which is also known as tapioca flour). When I researched cassava flour online, I realized Bob’s Red Mill sells it as tapioca flour and they sell it on Amazon. Who knew? I am going to have to check out this flour out and report back to you all.
Claire mentioned the McCormick’s Flavor Forecast in our interview, and if you head over to mccormick.com/flavor-forecast you can share your own Flavor Story and McCormick’s will donate $1 to charity for every story shared. Pretty cool. And if you’re interested in downloading the Flavor Forecast, here’s a link to the PDF: Flavor Forecast 2014.
I agree with Claire that gluten free is not going away anytime soon. Overall I enjoyed our video conversation. It was my first time doing anything like this and I was a bit nervous and hate to hear myself on screen. But it was really fun! I hope you all enjoy!
What about you? Have you seen Claire Robinson on Food Network? Ever cooked with Cassava Flour before? Post in the comments and let me know!
