Baked Kale Chips w/ Cayenne Pepper. Paleo & Whole30 Friendly
Kale Chips are all the rage right now and I’m right
onboard that train. I love salty snacks like potato chips so these
kale chips are great because they are healthy and they satisfy my
cravings. Just thinking about them is making me hungry. Plus
they’re super easy to make. Here’s what you will need:
- 1 bunch of kale. You will need to take
it off the stems. If you are lazy like me, you can buy the bag of
kale from Trader Joe’s and just use that. - One Ziploc Bag – freezer or gallon size
- 1tbsp Cold-Pressed Olive Oil
- Sea salt
- Pepper
- Cayenne Pepper

degrees. Take the kale off the stems and place in the Ziploc bag.
Then pour in the olive oil and sprinkle in the sea salt and pepper.
Then close the bag and “Shake, Shake, Shake!” Until all the oil and
seasoning is evenly coated on the kale. Then pour onto a cookie
sheet and disperse evenly. Next, sprinkle on the cayenne pepper to
your liking. I like spicy foods so I put a decent amount on there
but be your own gage. Then put the spicy kale chips in the oven and
bake for 10-15 minutes. They will experience some shrinkage (hehe)
but that is normal. Serve and enjoy! There are so many different
ways to cook kale chips so once you figure it out you can try new
seasonings. I plan to experiment with different seasoning more in
the New Year. I like to make these for my husband and I to snack on
while we are watching the Lakers, football, or English premiere
league soccer. Yes, we’re big sports fans in our house! I also made
a batch to travel with so we can have healthy snacks on the road.
What about you? Have you made kale Chips before? What
are your favorite recipes? Post in the comments and lets
know! Chips right out of the oven. Notice the shrinkage.”

This looks good! Now I’m hungry!
I just haven’t been able to get on board with kale. I stick to spinach for my greens.
I like to make sweet potato “fries/chips” by baking/blasting thinly-sliced and seasoned sweet potatoes in the oven.
