My Paleo Shopping List

Recommendations for Paleo Shopping List and Snack Ideas

Here are my Fit & Awesome approved and recommended items for a paleo shopping list. I’ve also included some snack ideas. Nothing replaces fruits and vegetables though so make sure to get plenty of those in your diet before reviewing these options. You can view my paleo shopping list and paleo snack ideas below or by clicking the Amazon link here.

One of the best pieces of advice I was given when starting this diet approach was to only shop the perimeters of the super market when grocery shopping. After all, that’s where all the healthy fruits, veggies, meats, and nuts can be located and keeps you away from all the bad stuff.

But sometimes it is important to have healthy paleo snacks on hand in your car or in your purse when you’re on the go so you don’t get tempted or overwhelmed by bad food options. The majority of the items on this paleo shopping list are mainly snack ideas because that is what my friend and I spoke about – quick items you can keep on hand and stay true to paleo when you are on the go. Some may argue that some of these are not fully paleo because they are “in a bag” or processed into a bar. I will let you determine that for yourself.

As I have mentioned above, the items in this list are not a substitution for healthy fruits and vegetables. Make sure you always have fresh veggies like spinach, carrots, kale, and fruits like apples on hand in your kitchen. These are just to supplement!

What do you think of this list? Anything you use and love? Would like to see added or removed? Post in the comments and let me know!

I love Justin’s – I usually pick up several of their small pouches and keep one in my purse for emergencies. Just rip and squeeze.

[…] I am super excited about a post I wrote this week on recommended paleo shopping list items. Why am I so excited about this post? Well, people often ask me what types of snacks they can eat on a gluten-free and paleo diet. Usually I just send them a list of the same things I always recommend. I decided to take it to the next level and actually post the list so next time someone asks me I can just send them a link. Yeah for technology! Here’s a link to the post if you haven’t seen it yet: Paleo Shopping List. […]
