My two favorite flavors: French Vanilla & Hazelnut!

NutPods Whole30 Approved

Happy New Year! I can’t believe we’re already in 2018. For me and many others, the new year means a time to reflect on goals – where you’ve been, where you want to go, and how to get there. A lot of people (including myself) make their health and eating better as a priority in the new year. Many of you have found this blog through my Whole30 journey (I did my first one five years ago!) I know a lot of people will be doing a Whole30 January to help kickstart their health this year. In honor of Whole30 January, I wanted to post a review of one of my favorite Whole30 essentials, NutPods (aff link)!

NutPods are a dairy-free creamer made from coconut cream and almonds. They come in three different flavors – Original, French Vanilla, and Hazelnut. I first learned about NutPods when someone in the Whole30 community posted about them on Instagram. I had to try them for myself. I drink my coffee black, but I sometimes enjoy a little flavor in my coffee. I bought the Three-Pack of NutPods on Amazon and started making my collagen coffee recipe using NutPods and Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides.

I really like NutPods because it adds a nice flavor to my coffee. Using NutPods in my coffee feels like a healthy treat to me. They are certified gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, and Whole30 Approved. It definitely tastes like a coconut creamer, and my favorite flavors are the French Vanilla and Hazelnut. If I was someone who was used to drinking my coffee with creamer, I think NutPods would be a good substitute while on Whole30, but they would take some getting used to. Here’s what is in the Hazelnut flavor: Purified Water, Coconut Cream, Almonds, Natural Flavors, Acacia Gum, Sunflower Lecithin, Dipotassium Phosphate, Gellan Gum, and Sea Salt. One tablespoon of NutPods Hazelnut flavor has 10 calories and no sugar or carbs. They come in an 11oz Tetra Pak and you store them in your refrigerator after use.

If you end up buying the three-pack of NutPods on Amazon, my biggest piece of advice would be to open one carton at a time and not all of them at once. Once you open your NutPod carton, you should use it within 7-10 days. I got excited and opened all three at once and couldn’t use them all within 7-10 days. It would be better to store the other cartons in your cupboards until they are ready to be used. This is just my own experience but hopefully it’s helpful for you, too. I am a mom of two and pretty much run on fumes and coffee these days.

I’m a big fan of NutPods  and love that they are an official Whole30 approved product. If you are looking for a special treat in your coffee I think they are worth checking out. If you are interested in my collagen coffee recipe, let me know and I can post it.

What about you? Do you drink your coffee black or do you use creamer? Have you ever used NutPods before? Are you on a Whole30 journey? Post in the comments and let me know!

Funny you should write about this today! I ordered some Nutpods to try last week, they’re arriving tomorrow. I am not a Whole 30 enthusiast (I must have cheese, bread and butter, sorry), but I would like to follow it as closely as I can this year. Hope they’re a good alternative to half & half.

How funny! What type of creamer do you normally use in your coffee?

COW MILK! 😀 (Seriously, I use half & half from the local dairy.)
