Source4Women is a community created by UnitedHealthCare provides healthy living information on things like nutrition, exercise, health screenings and more. One of my favorite things they do is each month is a We Dare You To Share image upload contest where they dare you to do something and you can upload your image for a chance to win really awesome prizes. You may have remember the previous dares from February, December, and November that I’ve posted about here on Fit & Awesome.
This month’s April dare is to spend more time with your family. My husband and I have both been working a lot lately so this is a good one for us. We have worked every weekend for the past 3 weeks and both of us are due for some much needed relaxing time together.
The picture I submitted for this dare is one of me, my husband Marion, and Kona on a recent hike we went to in Palos Verdes. It was a dog friendly trail and Kona had a blast. We even let her off leash for a portion of it!

- This couple and their family vacation to China

What about you? How do you spend time with your family? How would you spend $150 on your family? Post in the comments and let me know!
$150! I would probably use it to buy my mom or dad a nicer Mothers/Fathers Day gift. 🙂
i.e. an Amazon gift card would do just fine for this.
I just uploaded a pic of my kids having fun by the lake. We love the outdoors and grew up pretty much spending all my childhood outdoors. It is so different from nowadays. My kids love their video games but we limit their playing time so that we can enjoy the outdoors as a family. We love camping but our 8person tent broke and leaked on our last Boys Scout camping trip so I would put the $150 toward a new tent for the family. You really get to know eachother when you are stuck in a tent for a few days, those are the memories that last a lifetime.
I’d spend $150 dollars on getting my sister a pregnancy massage. She is 7 months pregnant, and since this is her third child she isn’t having a baby shower. I think it would be nice to treat her to something special, so her and her little baby girl to be feel pampered before more sleepless nights.
