4 Steps to Increase Your Energy

By Cathy Richards 1 Comment

It’s summertime, the kids are home and you’re feeling exhausted!

In order to achieve our health and wellness goals it’s so important to make sure that we have the energy to keep us busy momma’s going. I truly believe that in order for us to be the best and healthiest version of ourselves it all comes down to having 100% of the energy we need.

The energy to work well, the energy to eat well, the energy to parent well, the energy to move well and the energy to stay well. For an instant energy boost implement these four tips today!

Energy tip 1: Consistency

if you’re trying to get by with eating sporadic  or irregular meals and snacks it’s like driving a car without any gas! You must put fuel into  your body on a regular basis to get the most energy. So fuel up lady!

Aim to eat something every 4 to 6 hours. For the best energy combine a protein, fat and carbohydrate. To learn more watch this video.

Energy tip 2: Sleep

The best way to get energized is by getting more sleep. Research proves that sleep deprivation can be detrimental to your health and weight (not to mention your mood!). Practice better sleep hygiene by avoiding screens for 1 hour before your bedtime. Try some warm herbal tea or a bath to help you wind down and relax!

Aim for 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night.

Energy tip 3: Hydration

For the ultimate energy boost, the best secret is to be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day. As little as 2% dehydration can leave you crankier, less able to concentrate, and feeling more sluggish. Who needs that? Bring a reusable water bottle to work and keep it in front of you — it’ll be a powerful visual reminder to drink throughout the day.

Treat yourself to an awesome water bottle! (& and carry it with you everywhere!)

Energy tip 4: Exercise

Exercising on a regular basis is one of the absolute best things you can do for your health, regardless of your reasons for doing it. There is one big benefit from exercise, however, that can and will benefit you in almost every aspect of your life more energy. Studies have shown time and time again that exercise helps you feel more energetic and alert over time.

Scientists have concluded that one of the best ways to beat fatigue and oost energy is to exercise more, not less. Studies have shown that the more you move and it doesn’t have to be major movement, just getting up and walking around the room will help the more energy you will feel.

Commit to being active everyday

These 4 steps are just the start to getting you the energy that you need. For 3 more super important things to implement for instant energy, click here to download your own copy of “Boost your energy today with these 7 easy lifestyle hacks!”

I’d love to hear how you feel after you implement these steps! Most people feel improved energy after just 24 hours!! I know that I did.

cathy richardsAbout Cathy – Even with my training as a Registered Dietitian, as I added to my family

and life responsibilities I slowly felt my energy draining. I often woke up

exhausted and feeling too tired to even think about exercise let alone

healthy eating. I was really struggling to get through the work day and

bedtime routine with the kids.

That’s when I realized that I needed to implement what I’ve been teaching

my clients for over 17 years! So I took the strategies that have helped

1000’s of people improve their health and combined them into an

exclusive on-liine program. For more information visit: www.cathyrichardsrd.com

Great tips! This is also applicable since we’re on Lockdown. More sleep and more exercise time! 🙂
