Manhattan Beach Fireworks – Holiday Show 2012
The Manhattan Beach fireworks are a favorite holiday tradition. We’ve been living in Manhattan Beach for several years now and always look forward to the fireworks show every December. The fireworks usually happen on the first or second weekend in December and they are shot from the Manhattan Beach pier. They are a true display of beauty that can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. I honestly think they are better than any of the fireworks I’ve seen on the 4th of July. Families come out in swarms and children play on the beach with glow necklaces and lighted swords. It is truly a special evening.
This year I decided to take my tripod out and shoot a video of the fireworks. I love photography and capturing moments and I decided there wasn’t a better moment to capture than this. The video is shot with my Canon Rebel T2i on a tripod. They had two fireworks shows this year to celebrate the city of Manhattan Beach’s 100th birthday. One show began at 7pm and the other at 8:30pm. Both had incredible finales and were so fun. Check out my video embed below and enjoy!
I really enjoy the Manhattan Beach Fireworks every year because it is a fun and festive way to get everyone together. If you live in the South Bay or any of the neighboring areas near Manhattan Beach, I highly recommend you come check out this fireworks show. As you will see from my video, it is very impressive! The fireworks were so loud and intense that my heart dropped into my stomach. When is the last time anything you did made you feel that way? Intense. Special. Awesome.
