Awesome Fridays: Photos w/ Santa, Nasal Rinses, Fitbit Giveaway & More
Happy Awesome Friday, everyone! I hope you’ve been having a wonderful week. I am battling a pretty nasty cold. I haven’t been able to taste anything in almost 2 days! It’s very weird eating foods and not knowing what they taste like and only their texture. Makes me appreciate my sense of smell and taste so much more. I’ve been using this nifty little Sinus rinse daily to try and help me out:

This week has been filled with lots of fun holiday parties. On Wednesday night I went to a really fun ladies dinner. Everyone there was awesome, smart, and a super cool business woman. I enjoyed meeting everyone! Last night our neighborhood host its annual holiday stroll and we got to take a photo with Santa:
But wait, where’s Santa? Apparently he was out in the streets driving around. Kona and I spotted Santa in his sleigh during our nighttime walk and we stopped to take a photo:
It was a blast. I love the holiday season. Everyone is so cheery and in a good mood and we all do nice things for one another.
If you haven’t seen already, I launched a pretty sweet contest this week where you can enter for a chance to win a Fitbit Flex. Pretty awesome, right? Get on it!
This year, my husband and I have decided to Adopt-A-Family for Christmas. This is a program through the LA department of social services where needy families are matched with sponsors to make their Christmas wishes come true for their families. We sponsored a family of 8 people here in Los Angeles and will be helping them with gifts and their Christmas dinner. It’s the first time I’ve done this program in several years and we are looking forward to it. If there is enough interest I will post more about the program and how you can get involved.
Have a great weekend! Be fit. Be awesome.
Lindsay
What about you? What do you do to give back during the holiday season? Post in the comments and let me know.
We are concentrating our holiday giving on the downtown street people in our small city this year, and their pets. We are assembling ‘cheer’ bags for people and for dogs, and will be taking them with us when we go on our walks over the next couple of weeks.
That’s so great! Where are you based?
