Awesome Fridays – Halloween Running Socks, Funny Videos, and More
Happy Awesome Friday, everyone! Is it just me or did it seem like Monday was a long time ago? The weather has been so crazy this week. We went from 90 degree beach weather and melting over the weekend to RAIN on Wednesday. Now we have cold, crisp Fall air. I absolutely LOVE this weather even though our weather patterns have been so wacky.
I feel like doing today’s post in Buzzfeed style. So here we go!
I want send a special thank you to my friend Sarah from Low Carb Kitty. She laughs at me because I never used a [easyazon-link asin=”B00004OCIP” locale=”us”]vegetable peeler[/easyazon-link] until a year ago and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. When I told her I had never used a vegetable steamer she said “WHATTT!” So she sent me this awesome vegetable steamer:

Sarah rocks!
Halloween is coming and I want these Halloween running socks. They are so fun! And compression socks, too! I have a 40% off coupon code if anyone wants to be twinsies with me:
The Dodgers won the series against the Braves and advanced to the National League finals. This makes my husband very happy which makes me very happy. Go Blue!

I watched this really funny Conan skit on being gluten intolerant. I hope I don’t act like that! If I do, please slap me.
If you read my Manhattan Beach 10K race recap this past week then you will know I was quite surprised with my performance at the race. I am even more surprised that I’ve worked out every day since then! I thought the race was going to knock me on my bootie because I haven’t been running. Here’s what my workout schedule looked like this week:
Sunday – Surfing
Monday – Soccer (6o minute game)
Tuesday – Bikram Yoga. Can we say HOT?
Wednesday- Soccer (60 minute game)
Thursday – Yoga
Friday– ?????? Should I surf? Lift weights? Hmm, decisions.
Kona is getting big and turned 16 weeks this week. It’s amazing how quickly an animal can come into your life and completely melt your heart. We love her so much. Here’s your weekly Kona pic:
We are also trying to figure out a Halloween costume for her. Should she be a hot dog?

Or maybe a dinosaur?

Or a pumpkin?

So many choices!
Have a beautiful weekend, everyone! And GOOOOOOOO DODGERS!
What about you? Do you dress your dog up for Halloween? Use a vegetable steamer? Post in the comments and let me know! And if you are a Dodgers fan, please type GO BLUE in the comments so I can see how awesome everyone is!
I vote Dino-Kona. I love that and I’ve never seen that one before!!!!
And then you can be a slutty cavegirl. Cause all female halloween costumes are slutty versions of things.
Haha, of course! I could be Wilma.
I vote for surfing, although not sure if the weather works for it? 😉 and as far as Kona love the pumpkin 😀
The weather is good for surfing, but I didn’t have a chance to make it out today. The butt on the pumpkin is pretty funny, isn’t it?
I’ve never used a steamer, either. I guess I’ve always lived in places with small kitchens and don’t keep “non-essential” gadgets on hand!
