AbX, Speed Rope and Cables from HumanX by Harbinger
I recently had the opportunity to try out some new HumanX gear – a new brand by Harbinger. I’ve written about home gym equipment before here on Fit & Awesome and I’m always keeping a lookout for new gear that comes to the market. I was initially drawn to try the HumanX products is they are made by Harbinger. Because Harbinger is such a trusted brand in the fitness space, I had immediate confidence in HumanX products.
HumanX products were designed specifically for high intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts. This is a lot like crossfit so I suspect their target market will be crossfit enthusiasts who are looking to build out a collection of home workout equipment. Or people like myself who believe in the crossfit workout principles but don’t belong to a crossfit gym and practice crossfit style workouts at home or on their own. I received the following three products by Human X for review:
Here’s what I thought of the HumanX Gear I received:
This is pretty similar to the AbMat (which I also own). It is made for building up your ab and core strength and in my opinion makes doing sit ups a whole lot easier because you are making sure your form is good and your body is supported properly by using a product like this while doing ab exercises.
I opted for the 20 lb cables (the blue band). It ended up being a good choice. The resistance comes at a couple different levels so there should be something for everyone. It’s even got a little attachment that you can hang to the door which I found to come in handy for squat rows. I also like the handles because they aren’t bulky like some other resistance band products I have used in the past.
This speed rope got me super excited when I saw it in the packaging. I had to be very careful when opening it because I didn’t want to cut the rope itself! Eeee! This speed rope is really well made and I loved the handles. Unfortunately the 10 ft size is too long for me. I wish it came in a smaller size or could be adjustable in some way. Then I’d be super stoked about it. I’m 5’8” and tend to like a shorter jump rope.
Overall I was pretty impressed with the quality of the HumanX Gear I received. It’s also priced competitively with similar products I’ve seen on the market. I am definitely excited to add the AbX, FlexCables, and Speed Rope into my home gym gear collection and have my eye on trying out their Balance Disc next.
I am also excited to announce the opportunity for my readers to win a chance at receiving the same gear pack that I received in this review.
